Choosing the right face mask for you can be difficult. What is in the mask? Will you have an allergic reaction to something in it? Which one will work best for my face & skin type. The answer is to not choose one at all. Give yourself a quick and simple do it yourself beauty treatment by making a facemask at home right in your kitchen. It will be natural and you will know exactly what you are putting on and into your skin.

Though you can certainly put together your own facemask based on your knowledge of your own skin care, there are some ideas out there you can use. Whether you use the ideas here or make up your own, you will be sure you are avoiding additives and preservatives. If you like, you can even strive for a 100 percent organic facial mask.

The first will work best for dry skin. Take two ounces of fresh avocado, an ounce of orange juice, a teaspoon of acacia honey, and a teaspoon of molasses and 5 drops of chamomile essential oil and put them in a blender for blending or a large bowl if you prefer to mash them by hand. If, for some reason, the mixture comes out too thick, go ahead and add another ounce or so of orange juice. Once you have your paste together, use your fingers to spread the mixture over your entire face and neck. Leave the mask on for at least 30 minutes, but longer would be better. A warm flannel is best to rinse the mask off your face and will help exfoliate and clean your face as you wash off the mask. If there is some left over, it can be kept in the refrigerator for a day or two. You will find your face moisturized and feeling healthy after this homemade facial mask.

If you have sensitive skin this homemade honey face mask will likely work best for you. Start off by warming a small pot or crock of honey in a double boiler. Periodically check on your hand to make sure the honey gets warm, but it not hot. Once it is at a comfortable temperature, rub the honey onto your entire face generously. Leave the mask on for 15 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with warm, then cool water. You will feel refreshed and your face will look healthy after this simple home facial treatment.

One of the growing trends in beauty care in past years has been that of hair removal. It seems as if hair is decidedly “out” & everybody wants a smooth, hairless body. In actuality, the human body is close to completely covered with hair, with the exception of the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. This makes for a lucrative business for those who are licensed for hair removal. Although there is not only one hair removal method to choose from, hair waxing has long been one of the most popular methods of removing hair. & women are not the only ones buying into this hair removal craze. Men are also among frequent customers getting their backs, chests and other areas hair-free with hair waxing.

Waxing has long been a favorite method of those seeking to be smooth. Waxing requires hot wax to be poured on the area and then removed by having strips stuck on and pulled off along with unwanted hair. Although this method is often painful, it is cost effective and can last a while, which keeps many customers coming back for more. Another selling point for some is that waxing can be done by professionals in a salon or can be done in your own home with one of many self-waxing kits sold in stores. For people not wanting to spend a lot of money or have the process done in a public salon, home waxing can seem attractive.

There are a number of areas on the human body that people choose to wax. Women have made waxing extremely popular for their legs and bikini areas, particularly during summer months. Since waxing keeps areas hair free longer than shaving and often keeps the area from becoming irritated with small red bumps like shaving sometimes does, waxing has grown more and more popular. However, while shaving can be done to smooth areas with even the shortest stubble of hair sprouting up, to wax an area you must wait until a assured length of hair has grown in so the wax has a substantial amount of hair to grip onto and pull out. Another benefit of waxing is that the process makes hair grow back finer each time. That means that each time the hair grows back after waxing it will be thinner and easier to remove.

Since bikini waxing has become so popular in recent years, there have been a number of different bikini waxes developed depending on how much hair a woman wants removed. This allows women to have a number of choices when it comes to bikini waxes. Most of the time, the person working in the salon where you get your bikini wax will be able to help you if you are unsure about what type of wax you are seeking. However, most women have an idea in mind when they schedule their waxing appointment. Standard bikini waxes remove the hair roughly the bikini line, making more pleasurable to wear a bathing suit. This is perhaps the most popular bikini wax. However, the waxing does not stop there. A full bikini wax removes all pubic hair except for a strip, while a Brazilian bikini wax takes off all hair in the bikini area. The names of the waxes can vary from salon to salon but these are typically the types of waxes offered.

Waxing, particularly bikini waxing, is done in a private area of the salon, so do not worry about others viewing your wax. Your position during a bikini wax is considerably similar to your position during a gynecological exam. If you are receiving a full or Brazilian wax you may find that it is necessary for you to get into different positions for the person doing the waxing to reach all areas of hair. But since salon employees who administer bikini waxes likely do numerous waxes each day, they are used to the process and you should not feel embarrassed. Results of bikini waxing typically last anywhere from ten to twenty days, then you will likely be ready for another appointment. And keep in mind that since the hair must be a certain length in order to be removed with waxing, you will have to go at least a few days with a considerable amount of stubble.

The look of today often times demands a clean & hair free look. The most terrific option for attaining such a look is to wax. Waxing, though, can decidedly be very painful. Does it have to be, though? Not necessarily. There are methods you can use to ease the pain or eliminate it completely. The key is to find out what works best for you and your personal level of pain tolerance.

one option for avoiding the pain associated with waxing is to look at over-the-counter pain medications. Many people find that using something simple like aspirin, or Tylenol taken before the waxing is enough. Others may combine these medications with other pain management options.

Ice can be a extraordinary way to numb the place that is to be waxed, but there is a problem with it; some prefer your skin to be at normal temperature during the treatment. So you will want to check with your salon or spa first. The best way, if numbing is permitted, is to wrap an ice cube in some sort of wet cloth. A reusable frozen first aid pack works as well if you want to avoid the mess of a melting piece of ice. You will want to use the ice about 5 minutes before the waxing starts, and then continue use afterward for as long as you feel like you may need to.

Though there is really no scientific information to suggest why, many women claims that taking antacids helps. Taking an antacid about an hour before treatments, they claim, helps to curb the discomfort associated with hair removal.

Another, less involved method of managing the pain has been used by pregnant women and monks for ages: breathing techniques. Your best bet is to try slowing you’re breathing down during the procedure. Try breathing in through your nose then exhale through your mouth. As you breathe out, try to “blow the pain away” by letting out a little sound as you do. Other people, though, claim that holding their breath and counting to a set number can help them, or breathing out just after the wax is removed. Experiment with your breathing to see which works best for you in controlling pain.

Another common technique of managing pain, and not just during waxing, is sure relaxation methods. Some people, in borrowing from certain monks, are able to put themselves in a light trance by concentrating on and visualizing the relaxation of different parts of their bodies. If you, for instance, try focusing on your legs and feet (since they are far from your head) it may help you. You won’t necessarily lessen the pain as much as you will disconnect yourself from it. These methods are especially valuable to the person who is well-practiced in it and is enduring a long waxing session. Another way of relaxing is to simply visualize. Visualize a garden or a happy area you like to visit, imagine relaxing in that place, taking a warm bath, or doing anything you really enjoy on a level of relaxation. You may even want to dangle your hands and arms off the table while you imagine these things. Before you know it, your session is over.

One other way you may want to consider is to simply try to find ways to make the time go faster. Try chit chatting with others waiting for their treatment or the person doing the waxing to help pass the time, though it can be a problem when work is being done roughly your mouth. Another option would be to bring music with you. Music you enjoy or that helps you relax can even help you with meditation or relaxation techniques. One other option would be to simple double up. Have more than One person working so that more than one part of your body is being waxed at the same time. One pain may distract you from the other, and you are done and through it much faster.

Waxing is painful, and it would be difficult to find someone who would say differently. However, if you experiment and study you can find a pain management technique that will allow you to get through your next waxing. After all, the end result is worth it or you wouldn’t be there in the first place.

four Mistakes to Avoid

We’ve all done it. You know what I’m talking about: the incident. That time when you tried something new and it didn’t work out. Like the time when you rushed out of the house wearing pantyhose under your open-toe shoes. It’s great to experiment when it comes to beauty, fashion, and style but some things are better tried at home, where you can do a safe test run, or taken care of by an expert.

Style and beauty are about personal choices. That said, there are a number of unwritten guidelines that dictate what is considered acceptable and what is not. Here are a few common beauty and style mistakes women often make, sometimes without realizing the error of their ways.

Over-plucking: Yes, shapely, contoured eyebrows are fabulous and can add a lot of sophistication to your look. Scraggly or invisible eyebrows, on the other hand, are just that” scraggly or invisible. For the $12 or less it can cost to have your brows professionally waxed, it’s worth the money to have someone else shape your brows. If you insist on doing it yourself, be careful not to remove too much hair. Selective plucking may be your best option. Pluck just after you’ve showered so hair pops out more easily. Brush your brows into area, and then using a good set of tweezers, gently remove hair from under the arch of your eyebrow and outside the natural brow line. Do a little at a time, stepping back periodically to inspect your work from a distance.

Unnatural tan: A deep, sun-drenched tan looks great but too much time in the sun can be bad for you skin and for your health. Tanning beds have only marginal benefits in terms of reducing our exposure to harmful UV rays, so many women turn to tanning lotions to achieve that sun-bronzed look.

Be aware! Not all tanning and bronzing lotions are created equal. Some will give your skin a sickly orange tinge while others are difficult to apply and end up streaky. Do a small test patch in a normally covered area to find out how the lotion will look on your skin. This takes a little extra time, but the effort is worth it. You want a natural-looking tan, not an application of finger paint.

In addition to choosing the wrong kind of tanning product, many women (and men) forget to apply it all over. The backs of the legs are difficult to reach, but it is essential to have even coverage over all visible parts of your body. This includes your hands. You should wear gloves while applying bronzer to the rest of your body to avoid over-colorization, but when you’re finished, don’t forget your hands or you’ll end up with a reverse farmer’s tan!

Unsightly feet: Nasty-looking feet can absolutely ruin a great pair of sandals. Don’t put a lot of effort into shaping and painting your toenails without taking a good look and feel of your heels, too. We can see our toes, so they often hog the attention we give our feet, but others can see our heels and bear witness to the neglect we may inflict. Avoid this beauty faux-pas by beginning a daily regimen of care long before you intend to show off your lovely toes. By using a foot file or rough scrub brush every day in the shower, you will soon see softer heels. Dry your feet well to prevent any bacterial growth between your toes (yuck!), and apply a moisturizing AHA or BHA foot lotion. Your feet will thank you if you apply more lotion again before going to sleep.

If your heels or other rough spots like the often-calloused area by your little toe are too out of control, you should get a professional pedicure to smooth away the imperfections.

Garish makeup: Not all colors were meant to be worn by all people. All those lovely lipstick shades might look great in the store, but not so good on you. Choose neutral colors for daytime use and slightly bolder colors for evening. Remember that colors change under different light, so what looks good in the cosmetics section of the department store, might not look the same under your office lights. Consult a cosmetician (it’s usually free) to find out what your best colors are and build from there.

Cellulite it’s that ugly little problem that causes your skin to look like an orange peel. No 1 is 100 percent sure what causes cellulite, but it appears to originate from our own female hormone. In fact, nearly 98% of girls develop at least a small amount of cellulite after reaching puberty. Those back-stabbing hormones of ours seem to be triggered during adolescence, when they begin laying down fat, particularly in the hips and the thighs, by enlarging cells.

Lymph fluids then gradually pass through the tissue and accumulate in areas with poor circulation. The fat then becomes compressed and starts to harden into lumps. Over time, these lumps are visible through the skin.

Some experts believe that certain lifestyle factors, such as lack of exercise and taking in high levels of toxins, like alcohol and coffee, increase the likelihood of developing cellulite. Bearing this in mind, the best way to treat cellulite is to live a healthy lifestyle and avoid getting it altogether.

Of course, avoiding getting cellulite isn’t necessarily all that easy. For some women, developing cellulite is simply the result of genetics, a part of the aging process, or due to pregnancy. Furthermore, many of us already have it and just want to know how to get rid of it.

1 way to get rid of cellulite is through exercise. Sitting for long periods of time decreases our body’s circulation. In fact, the most stubborn cellulite deposits are often located right in the area where the leg meets the chair while sitting, most likely because this is the area where the circulation was cut off.

A sluggish circulatory makes it more difficult for the blood and the lymphatic system to send oxygen around the system and to remove toxins. Therefore, regular exercise that can is brisk, yet gentle, is one way to treat cellulite. Swimming and walking are great ways to do this.

Cellulite can also be treated with skin brushing and massage. These forms of treatment help to clear and cleanse the lymphatic system by speeding up circulation. This, in turn, gets rid of cellulite that has been building up for a long time in the body cells. A wooden brush with a long handle is needed for skin brushing.

To perform skin brushing successfully, the brushing should be done in an upward direction with firm sweeping strokes. The process should begin at the soles of the feet and gradually move upward on the body. Special attention should be paid to areas that are prone to cellulite. In these areas, the brush strokes should follow a small, circular pattern. Over brushing, however, can irritate the skin and cause reddening.

Weight loss and drinking plenty of water can also help in treating cellulite. Accumulated toxins need to be flushed from the system in order to restore skin tone. The liver, in particular, needs to be cleansed as its job is to help the body filter out toxins. In addition, weight gain will only cause cellulite to worsen. On the other hand, weight loss in a person who is overweight can help decrease the appearance of cellulite.

In addition to these methods, there are several creams and lotions reachable on the market that claim to aid in the reduction of cellulite. Some of these creams can be costly and have little proven effect on the reduction of cellulite.

A more invasive means of treating cellulite is the use of surgery. Cellulite treatment surgeries, such as liposuction, are available which are capable of removing inches of collected fatty tissue from various parts of the body, including the abdomen, legs, arms, back, neck, and face.

Liposuction does not, however, change the structure of the skin. Therefore, it does not eliminate cellulite forever. In addition, as with any surgery, liposuction has risks. Also, it will not result in the “perfect” body” and it’s not cheap, either. Therefore, it is important to become well-educated about cellulite treatment surgeries before plunging into this form of cellulite treatment.

The dreaded cellulite is very unattractive and no woman is happy to discover a new deposit on her body. Therefore, the best line of defense is prevention” drink plenty of water and exercise regularly to keep your circulation flowing and your body free of toxins.

Fear of aging has become so prevalent in our society that for beauty we have reached a new age. It is true that the ancient Egyptians used kohl, which we know to be harmful, to enhance their beauty, but they did not know it was harmful. Today, however, the allure of looking younger (which we associate with looking beautiful) leads us to take a toxin & turn it into a beauty aid. & that is just what Botox is — a poison that we inject to smooth our wrinkles and reduce the appearance of aging.

Botox is created from Botulinum Toxin Type A. This is a protein complex that the bacterium Clostridium botulinum produces. This protein contains the exact same toxin that is the cause of food poisoning. However, this toxin has been somewhat tamed and made fit for medical use. The United States Food and Drug Administration approved the use of Botox for smoothing frown lines in 2002, and deemed it medically acceptable for the use of frown lines. But even before this, Botox was approved medically in 1989 to treat uncontrollable blinking and misaligned eyes. In 2000, Botox was approved to treat cervical dystonia, which results in severe shoulder and neck contractions.

The reason that Botox can do all of this because it is used an injectable and sterile form of the purified toxin that helps to paralyze the muscles of the face. What happens is that the small doses block the release of the chemical (acetylcholine) meant to signal muscle contract. This means that the muscles below the surface of the skin cannot contract, and this results in smooth, paralyzed muscles that allow frown lines (and other lines) to smooth out. It only takes about a week for most lines to disappear completely.

It was a direct result of the doctors working with the eye patients that led to the discovery of the fact that Botox could help erase frown lines. The doctors noticed that their patients had an unusual side effect — the lines surrounding their eyes began to disappear. This discovery, and the fact that soon Botox was approved for use on frown lines, has made Botox one of the fastest growing cosmetic treatments in history. In fact, Botox is even more popular than breast augmentation. This probably has a lot to do with the fact that an injection feels a lot less invasive (and is, of course) than a major surgery. And no matter how enhanced one’s breasts are, they cannot stop the appearance of aging. Botox appears to hold the key to the fountain of youth.

Marketing strategies to sell Botox have resulted in its huge success. Medical practitioners hold Botox parties. It is possible to purchase Botox in bulk at a discount. This means that a plastic surgeon or doctor can conveniently provide the Botox to a large number of people. Women especially get together to talk, listen to a seminar, and have refreshments. And the Botox is on hand for injection. This way the whole process is less a medical procedure and more of a party favor. The whole experience becomes interesting and fun, and the lines stay away for as many as one hundred and twenty days. This means that one need only get an injection three times a year. That is hardly onerous.

The good news is that even though the toxin is used in Botox injections, there is no chance of contracting botulism because the strain of the bacterium is sterile. However, there are some risks involved with getting Botox injections. If injected into the wrong facial area, one can experience eyelid muscles that droop for several weeks. Other side effects can include respiratory infection, nausea, flu syndrome, headache, and sometimes redness at the injection site. However, very few people have any trouble at all with side effects, and as long as patients are sure not to go more than once every three months, they are relatively safe.

The new age of beauty has arrived, and it is one in which we can have the signs of our aging erased without having to undergo surgery. All we need are occasional injections and to be carefully not to get too much of the toxin injected in the wrong places.

Let’s get started…

There are a number of options for people looking into hair removal possibilities. With hair removal becoming more and more popular as years go by, there have been a number of advancements made and new products created that have given hair removal customers a variety of options. However, since there are now so many different types of hair removal methods accessible, it can sometimes be difficult for people to determine which hair removal method is best for them.

The newest hair removal method to be put on the market is laser hair removal. Since advancements of all types of procedures using lasers have become more and more advanced in recent years, it is no surprise that lasers are now being used to remove hair. A wavelength of energy is omitted by the laser, working to kill the hair from its base. The most appealing characteristic of laser hair removal is that after a small number of treatments your hair should be completely dead and you will never have to worry about hair on that specific portion of your body again. Laser hair removal treatments can be spread out farther than other types of hair removal treatment since the laser hair removal process slows the growth of hair. Laser hair removal may seem like the most appealing hair removal procedure but there is a downside. Since laser hair removal is a relatively new procedure and can be high in demand compared to the number of specialists licensed to practice the procedure, the cost of laser hair treatments can be relatively high. In comparison to the other methods of hair removal, laser hair removal is by far the most costly.

A method similar to laser hair removal but that has been roughly much longer is that of electrolysis. When removing hair by electrolysis, the technician uses a needle that projects an electric current into the hair follicle, killing it at the root. By sending the current directly to the root of the hair follicle it prevents hair from growing back in the same spot. Although it may take longer than laser hair removal, electrolysis is another way to permanently remove hair in a sure place. Like laser hair removal, this takes a number of repeat appointments for treatment. Electrolysis often requires treatment for anywhere up to a year to a year and a half for the hair to be completely removed. Like laser hair treatment, electrolysis can cause some discomfort and pain during treatment when the electric current is killing the hair follicle but it should not last longer than a few minutes after the treatment has ended.

A long used method of hair removal is the process of removing hair using depilatories. Depilatories are made up of a chemical mixture that is applied to a region of unwanted hair. Once applied, the depilatory is left on the hair from anywhere from 3 to fifteen minutes depending on the size of the area and the amount of hair being removed. Once the chemicals have had time to kill the hair, the depilatory is removed and the area of skin is smooth and free from hair. Unlike laser hair removal and electrolysis, using a depilatory is completely pain free and can be done in the privacy of your own home. A number of depilatories are sold at local supermarkets. However, for people with sensitive skin depilatories may not be the right way to go about removing unwanted hair. Since depilatories contain such strong chemicals in order to kill the hair, they often cause skin irritation for people who are prone to having sensitive skin. Depilatories also typically require repeat treatments considerably sooner than both electrolysis and laser hair removal.

Another hair removal treatment that has been popular for years is that of waxing. Waxing can be done by professionals in a salon or can be done in your own home with one of many self-waxing kits sold in stores. Waxing requires hot wax to be poured on the area and then removed by having strips stuck on and pulled off along with unwanted hair. Although this method is often painful, it is cost effective and can last a while, which keeps many customers coming back for more.

Want more information? Look no further! Just read the article below…

For many centuries people close to the world have been taking it upon themselves to cure their own ailments. Home remedies for ailments have been some of the most popular treatments throughout history. Centuries ago it was because there was little or no professional medical care available. Nowadays it seems as if the tradition of finding a home remedy to cure yourself has been passed on through the years. Oftentimes, home remedies that people swear by have been passed down from generation to generation. One ailment that has been commonly treated with a variety of home remedies in dry skin. Since dry skin is often not an extremely dangerous condition, it makes it more practical for some people to treat minor dry skin complaints with home remedies rather than spending money and time to see a medical professional.

Dry skin typically appears in most people during the winter months. Dryness typically occurs because your skin lacks moisture. This means that there is a lack of water in your skin. In the past some magazines have suggested that drinking at least eight glasses of water a day will cure this ailment. However, medical professionals have proven this home remedy false, this will simply keep your body hydrated, not your skin. Instead, medical professionals suggest that the best way to re-hydrate the skin is to soak it in water, rather than take water in by mouth. Soaking for a short period of something like fifteen minutes in lukewarm water should put water back into the skin and help to ease the dryness. Doctors also remind patients with dry skin that bathing everyday can be negative for their condition. In fact, patients with excessively dry skin should only bathe every other day in cooler water than normal.

Perhaps the most helpful thing a person can do at home for dry skin is to moisturize. Moisturizing skin with a moisturizing lotion will help immensely. The lubrication of the lotion will approximately immediately be sucked into dry skin. Moisturizing lotion put on the skin after a bath or shower will also help contain the moisture from the bath or shower in the skin. The moisturizing lotion will also work to moisturize by itself which gives your skin twice the hydration.

A famous home remedy for dry skin is using oatmeal. Believe it or not, this home remedy was discovered over four,000 years ago and is still being used today. Colloidal oatmeal, which has been ground into a fine powder for easy use, can be poured into bath water to provide relief for dry skin. Oatmeal has been used to relieve itching and other discomfort related to skin throughout the years. Colloidal oatmeal can be found at almost all pharmacies and is extremely easy to use. Since some soap that contains deodorants can be harmful to dry skin, oatmeal can also be substituted and used as soap. However, there are also soaps made that should not harm dry skin. Lye is a common ingredient in much soap that can harm and irritate people with sensitive and dry skin. But there are certain brands of soap that have been made without lye in order to provide a safe alternative for those with dry skin problems. Well-known companies such as Neutrogena and Dove have manufactured soaps that are considerably less strong than deodorized soaps. These soaps contain natural ingredients instead, such as cream, cocoa butter and coconut oil. But no matter what soap you are using, if you have excessively dry skin you should try to use as little soap as possible. People with dry skin should only use soap when they are dirty. Many medical professionals have admitted that in American society today, we often over wash when are not dirty. Using soap only when the body really needs it should provide some relief to dry skin.

There are a number of home remedies available for people with dry skin. For people who have tried conventional medical methods and have found that they did not work, home remedies may be worth trying out. There are a number of home remedy books available at most book stores that will likely hold even more home remedy ideas for dry skin.

Let’s get started…

Doing roughly anything is easier if you have the right equipment. Applying makeup is certainly no different. It is worth your while to invest in quality makeup tools, & it is equally important to take care of those tools by washing them regularly. The proper, well cared for tools will make applying makeup much more fun and much easier. To that end, there are Ten tools you must have.

First of all, a good makeup sponge is a necessity. Sure, applying foundation with your fingers may be easier. However, if you use a sponge to dab on foundation you will get much better coverage. The most terrific makeup sponges should be triangle in shape so as to reach the sides of your nose and corners of your eyes. In addition, a good sponge may be used to wipe away excess blusher and flaky eye makeup.

The second must is a powder puff. Your powder puff is used to apply loose powder over your foundation, and is also valuable for makeup touch ups during the day. Use to brush and press making sure not to drag the powder onto your skin for an even result. If you wish for a lighter look, tap out excess powder onto the back of your hand before application.

Thirdly, get a good powder brush. First and foremost, it is a tool to lightly apply bronzing powder. A thick powder brush will make it easier to apply powder along your temples, neck and cheekbones. Always start with a small amount of powder and add more if necessary. The powder brush is also useful in applying blusher for a look that is a little more natural and a little less defined.

Your makeup tool set will also need to include an eye liner brush. You can use your eye liner brush to convert powdery eye shadow to eyeliner. Just apply the eye shadow with a damp eye liner brush. The eye liner brush can also be used for liquid liner. The narrow brush allows you to get right into the base of your lashes with the color.

Make sure you have a sponge applicator as well. This applicator is for the application of eye shadow to the eyelid. Pearly eye shadows should especially be applied with a sponge applicator so as to prevent the pigments from flaking onto your skin below your eyes. Start by applying on the outer corner of the eye then blend the eye shadow with your shading brush.

You will need a shading brush as well. You can create a neat and natural effect by using your shading brush to blend eye shadow. Trace your brow bone and work the eye shadow in from the outer corner of your eye toward the eyelid crease.

The seventh tool necessary for easier makeup application is an eyebrow brush. Use your eyebrow brush for the application of powder eye shadow to your eyebrows. An angled eyebrow brush will allow you to give yourself a softer finish than an eyebrow pencil. Be sure to apply the eye shadow though, keeping to the line of your eyebrow. Use small gentle strokes. You can also use your eyebrow brush to soften a line you create with an eyebrow pencil.

Eighth, get yourself a short-bristled makeup brush. Use it to apply eye shadow to the lower lid. The narrow brush of a short-bristled makeup brush will reach into the base of the lashes, which emphasizes the shape of the eye to its best advantage. Work from the outer corner of your eye and blend to the center for best results.

A lip brush will be valuable in helping your lipstick last longer. Apply the lipstick with your lip brush below the lip line and blend toward the center of your lip. When using a brush in this manner you can apply the exact amount you desire, and give yourself a more precise look in the process.

Last, but not least, make sure you have a concealer brush. This slightly flat brush can be used to help hide circles under your eyes. You can also use it to hide patches roughly the nose or any other small flaws with a neat and natural look. Make sure your concealer brush has fairly firm bristles. Soft bristles may cause an uneven finish.

By having the right tools, you can improve your makeup application both in look and efficiency. Always spend the extra dollar to get better equipment. Because, in the end, you will be glad you did.
